Farewell winter xo

Goodbye winter, thank you for so many wonderful memories over which to pine.. I'll miss wearing my fluffy warm coats & scarves with knee high socks, snuggling under a doona, cute beanies, getting up early for brisk morning runs, your beautiful sunsets, comfortable sleep, flannelette pajamas, going out dancing on a cool night, warm treats and coffee dates.

Though, there's something about blossoms and fresh, green shoots on the trees, days becoming longer, animals coming out of hibernation, ocean currents getting warmer, late night swims, donning pretty dresses with adorable hats and vege gardens going loco that inspires me from my nose to my toes! Welcome, spring!

La, La, Lisa~

Yesterday I shot the lovely Lisa or, quite possibly, her burlesque dancer alter ego 'Bella Louche'.
Lisa is a play writer/performer. Being poised and beautiful comes naturally to this talented young woman, though don't be fooled -she's filled from top-to-toe with fierceness.

Ben & Bianca tie the knot.

On a lovely summers day I shot Ben & Bianca's wedding, it was a beautiful day and a nice experience to meet such fun and generous people. These are just a few shots to give you a taste of how the day went.

I've thought of you every day since I saw you last.

There's been a lot of photographs shot since I stopped blogging, I'll put together some random posts in between current ones over the next few weeks to try and get this shizz updated.

This is Hailey D. She features in a few of my pictures as she's fantastic to shoot, such a stunning little lady.

There's been a lot of rainy weekends in Sydney.... This photograph was taken of the window when I was on the ferry a couple of weekends ago.

Back in the country..........

Tarp surfing!

Climate action.

Today I went to a rally regarding climate change...

One of my greatest passions is the environment, I grew up in a small town on the coast where I learned to surf at a young age. I think this, along with my passionate parents, was one of the main reasons I always treated the environment with respect and always will. My love of the ocean has been a great contributor to how I live my everyday life.
I first moved to Sydney when I was 18 years old and got a job with Greenpeace, I worked for them for 8 months. It was during this time my naivety and views on people changed completely.
I learned that being a well educated adult didn't mean anything when it came to manners. I was constantly being put down by middle aged 'suits', many of whom seemed to have no idea about what was going on outside of their own bubble.
I realized some people did believe what they saw on television or read in newspapers and didn't for a second think they could be spouting censored truths. It was a real eye opener to meet so many adults that seemed so sheltered when I still considered myself a child.

I'll always be a tree-hugger, no matter what the news reader says!

Photographs captured with Cannon AE-1 analog SLR, on 35mm film.

REVAMPED.

I haven't used this blog since mid-late last year, life became busy and blogging became tedious.

A person can change a lot in the space of a few months, I've since moved cities, changed jobs and started studying. Had both joyous moments and tragic times, many lessons learned.
Today I took a roll of film and thought it would be good for my blog, this blog, the very same one which I'd thought of deleting on more than one occasion. I almost started a brand new one this afternoon but decided against it so as to display the old and the new.

I hope to make this blog into more of a week to week following of my life and display of my art.
I find myself enjoying perfectly beautiful experiences as i discover a new city and a new self and in the moment want to share the feeling with the world.

So, here we are. The revamped 'bullyromance.'.
